This corporate signwriting job involved a variety of hand painted signs for the refurbishment of Marks & Spencer’s Foodhall at Hedge End, Southampton. The signs were painted on different materials like brick, breeze block and corrugated metal and wall and were between 3 and 6 metres in sizes, some of them in height. Access was achieved using MEWPs and scaffolding. Due to the different surfaces, and array of different lettering and graphics, various paints were used, mainly emulsions and acrylic but also some lettering enamel.
I am a holder of green CSCS Labourer card, fully trained and certified to use Mobile Elevating Work Platforms. I’m used to working on building sites and wearing personal protection equipment. I subcontract other signwriters regularly too, when more people are needed on a job.
